I thought I knew what love was

Once I thought I knew
But I did not.
We both thought we were meant for each other
But we were not.
How do you know if it is there?
Can you feel it in the air?
Does anyone really know?
And if someone does
Why cant that be me
I wish I knew what Love is
But I do not.
