Last night, we put on the cruise control
and switched on the autopilot

Travelled thru the night
just me and you
with the moon overhead

Caught by your stray bullet
I lost sight and direction

We were in the presence of memories
flashing cameras
capturing moments

In a perfect world
there was no timeframe

Now i sit here today
empty room.... me and my pen

Digging myself deeper
my words are always free

Back at the start
I'm pushing away
I hope you kept a place in memory

but keeping hope is tough

Fading colors, unspeakable dreams So gray day after day, night after night
Walking in the valley of misery
When will it change, no one knows
Definitely not for me and for you

Look what we have done
Frightening darkness morns the earth
So cold, be silent, something creeps from within
Heart breaking footsteps shatter every dream

Help them but help me
So young yet so old
Reaping heavens fall into hell

It's easier for you to just walk away
Than it is to reach out to me
It's easier for you to just turn around
Than to see the depth of my despair
It's easier for you to just look through
Than it is to see the "real" me
It's easier for you to distance yourself
Than it is for you to care

Stars are bright and shiny, for everyone to see, you truely are a star indeed especially to me. And when the night is dark, and light should seldom show, you brighten up my world with your warm and happy glow. So when people put you down and say you're not worth a bar, you just tell them I said, "you truely are a star."
